It also provides details about stolen or lost license plates, repossessions, and non-city tows (such as private parking lot tows) that are reported to the Chicago Police Department. Information is updated every hour on the hour, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

You will need to enter either the license plate or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Determine if a vehicle has been reported stolen to the Chicago Police Department. For example, if you notice an unfamiliar vehicle parked on your block or a vehicle that has been left in a parking lot/ garage for an extended period of time, enter the license plate or VIN to determine if it has been reported stolen to the Chicago Police Department.
