As of this morning, June 14th, ComEd has successfully restored power to nearly 15,000 residents in the 8th Ward. We are thankful to report that the number of affected residents has decreased to 92 as of noon on Sunday. While all but one street have been cleared for vehicle traffic, there are still some unique challenges in certain areas of our ward that I am actively addressing with ComEd and the city. The cleanup efforts are scheduled to begin on Monday morning, with the city deploying high lifts and dump trucks to remove storm debris.
